FAVOURITE or BELOVED

I. 1. This park is very beautiful. It’s my … place.

2. Who is your … writer?

3. My … husband died two years ago.

4. That’s a present for my … woman.

5. When Juliet died her … Romeo died too.

6. Forgive me, my … brother!

7. I have three brothers and Tom is my … brother.

8. It’s her … hiding place.

9. Tchaikovsky is my … composer.

10. My … daughter! I think you should marry this man!

11. My cat’s … place is a big armchair near the window.

12. I can’t miss this lecture as it is on my … subject.

II. Jane had three sons. When they asked her which of them she loved best of all she said that they were all dear for her. But in fact Tom was her (любимый) child. He was very handsome and very clever at that. He felt that he was his mother’s (любимый) son and he took advantages of that. Now and then he would say: “My (любимый) mother! You are the only person on earth whom I really love. I love you so much! I’m ready to sacrifice my life for your sake!” But when his (любимый) mother fell badly ill he did not take care of her. Tom, her (самый любимый) son, taught Jane a good lesson. She understood that the proverb “Actions speak louder than words” was really true.
